Happy November! ... Students have Friday 11/6 off

Week of  November 2nd - 6th     

Algebra 2 (pds 3 and 7) 
In School "Synchronous" work:  class started with a Challenge called "The 12 Tanks" problem ... Mr R shared common mistakes that he has seen and that we need to watch out for ... we worked on Mixed Review (dotted line problems from the quiz questions we missed) ... we completed lesson 2-1 Notes packet by solidifying our understanding of what a function is, we reviewed vocabulary (domain & range) and used the "vertical line test" to make a quick decision on whether a graph showed a function or not ... we learned how to read "function notation" and answer questions ... next week we will get a brief opportunity to complete a "follow up" quiz

Friday Virtual:   No School Friday 11/6  


Fundamentals of  Algebra 2 (pd. 6) 
In School "Synchronous" work: class started with the "12 Tank Challenge" (answer revealed next week) ... we reviewed what we have been studying during the 1st mkg pd (this is the last week of the 1st mkg pd), we worked on GMM Mixed Review and the "dotted line problems" are the quiz corrections (if you missed Friday's class you missed the quiz and need to make it up during a help class, any day M-Th at 2:30) ... We discussed the EQ "What are the similarities and differences between equations and inequalities?", we completed mini-lessons 1.5b, 1.5c, 1.5d1 and 1.5d2, for each one Mr R modeled how to solve the problems as we took notes and answered questions, we were given time to practice that skill we finished with a T.O.D. ...  next week we will get a brief opportunity to complete a "follow up" quiz

Fundamentals of  Geometry (pds. 1, 4 and 5) 
In School "Synchronous" work: class started with a Challenge called "The 12 Tanks" problem ... we reviewed some of the Mixed Review Skills that have been causing many of us trouble (notesheet examples modeled by Mr R), we had time to work on mixed Review ... we completed a mini-lesson 1-6f, notes about knowing the difference between Area and Perimeter (labels are important), practice time ... we completed mini-lesson 1-6g about Area and perimeter of parallelograms (use the correct formulas, know how to identify the base and height), practice time ... T.O.D.  ... next week we will get a brief opportunity to complete a "follow up" quiz
