Let the 2nd Marking Period Begin!!!

 Week of November 9th - 13th     


Algebra 2 (pds 3 and 7) 
In School "Synchronous" work: "followup quiz" opportunity was given at the beginning of the period (come to help class if you need more time or missed taking this) ... Mr R shared the the solution the the "12 Tank Challenge" problem from last week ... Lesson 2-2 notes packet handed out , we completed several mini-lessons using GMM skills 2.2a, 2.2b, 2.2c and 2.2d, main focus was the use of the x and y intercepts in a linear function ... Lesson 2-3 notes packet was passed out, slope and rate of change was discussed, we completed a mini lesson about finding the rate of change using 2 points (ordered pairs)

Fundamentals of  Algebra 2 (pd. 6) 
In School "Synchronous" work:  "follow-up quiz" opportunity was given at the beginning of the period (come to help class if you need more time or missed taking this) ... Mr R shared the the solution the the "12 Tank Challenge" problem from last week ... the remainder of the period we worked on Lesson 1-5 about Compound Inequalities , we discussed the difference between "and" and "or" compound inequalities , we completed mini lessons 1.5d2 (translating words to inequalities and graphing the possible solutions) , 1.5e (solve and graph "and" compound inequalities) and 1.5f (solve and graph "and" compound inequalities) , notes & examples provided, practice time given

Fundamentals of  Geometry (pds. 1, 4 and 5) 
In School "Synchronous" work:  "followup quiz 1-6 #2" opportunity was given at the beginning of the period (come to help class if you need more time or missed taking this) ... Mr R shared the the solution the the "12 Tank Challenge" problem from last week ... Mini-Lesson 1-6h, are of shaded region (rectangles only), notes, examples, practice time ... next, we started Chapter 2 , Mr R handed out the SLM (student learning map) for chpt 2 , we started lesson 2-1, we did mini lessons 2-1a (identifying values of points on a number line) and 2-2b (finding the distance between two points on a number line) , notes/examples and practice time
